The Folk Group performed at Royal Ave as part of the Glengormley School of Music Christmas celebration. They played several pieces of music on their tin whistles accompanied by Caolan Cassidy on Piano and Deirbhile McCavana on the harp.  They also performed in a traditional Irish music session with other children. Well done.

The choir had a fantastic morning at the Peace Proms workshop in the SSE arena. We are really looking forward to our big performance next year.

Our Student Council had a brilliant morning at Lisburn Library, where four of our representatives met Chris Quinn, the Northern Ireland Commissioner for Children and Young People. They heard him speak about children’s rights and explored the exhibition on how young people’s voices shape change. We’re so proud of our pupils for representing our school so confidently! We are absolutely delighted to announce that Tess Laverty, Katie McIlvenny, Maria McLean, Anna Kilfinn and Eimear Niblock passed their tin whistle step examination in June. These examinations are with the University of West London (LCME). A huge thank you to our wonderful tin whistle teacher, Maria.  Congratulations to you all.

Another big win for our P7 boys soccer team. Against Orangefield, a fantastic team themselves, our boys battled through 40 minutes of open play and the winner could only be decided by penalties.
